Ranch clinic 2012

Submitted by admin on Thu, 07/26/2012 - 07:19

Well, I've made it home and am getting ready for the ranch clinic. This year we are branding 50 head of heifers and folks are coming from canada, Michigan, Texas, Idaho, Washington and that's all I can remember! The clinics have been just great this year with a lot of new riders finding out they can build a better partnership with their horses. I am super excited about my first book, with outstanding pictures and I think some good info on horsemanship. It may even be ready earlier than sept 15 so I suggest pre ordering your copy now! I hope to see y u somewhere down the road!

Dancin' in the Rain!

Well, I am up in Canada and my ranch is in a drought, while I continue to do clinics

in the pouring rain! I can tell  you Canadians are dedicated to Horsemanship and

their horses! It reminds me of the postal delivery fella sayin...."not snow, sleet, rain

or hail shall keep me from delivering the mail.... or something like that!  I am in

Manitoba spending a couple days with a great friend and retired clinic

I am a bad blogger!

As you see I am not a good blogger! I am trying to keep you up to date on Facebook which doesn't always work either!

I am now in Canada and have a day or two to burn...so I figured I would try this

blogging theory! The spring clinics across the Eastern States were simply amazing...the people

hosting were great! The riders were really making some great progress, the horses

gained a lot and I really enjoyed myself! Then I did one outstanding clinic in Kelowna, BC Canada

followed by a mini holiday with good friends "Monty" and Miles and my nephew Brandon!

On the road again!

Well with a cup of coffee in hand....and  me not being a good typer....I will fill you in on some events!

Winter was a great time even though it was cold, windy but not as snowy as usual! With some great students all the colts are started and horses rode!  We even had a few summer feeling days with warm sunshine and no wind!

Equestrian Nation I guess is featuring me this March 9, 13, 15 on a premiere show --  you can find it on Dishnetwork and Direct TV but I am not sure it's on cable?

Fall 2010

Submitted by admin on Thu, 08/19/2010 - 12:22

Well, it's amazing that August is almost over and once again I am traveling Canada for my fall tour! Just finished a great clinic at the Gilbert Ranch in Saskatchewan, where Cow working, Ranch Roping are always with some great folks!  I see from the office I have some new clinics scheduled for the fall and they are looking good! Natural Bridge, VA is a nice facility, and Washington, PA has for the first time Cow Working!!! So for all the folks that have asked for years! Now is your chance to ride in cow working!  Ann Arbor, MI has also found cows to work!

Ranch clinic 2010

Well the ranch clinic is about to start on Monday -- and what a line up we have! Beside the countries best saddlemaker Dale Harwood and his wife Karron coming to visit and bake us home made sourdough buns on an open fire like the good ol' campfire and chuckwagon days! There is to be a horse vet visit one night to answer any and all horse questions, a great massage gal to soften all the sore muscles and one night a great friend Stephani will bring her jewelry and have a personal showing at the ranch!

I thought I might mention that we have on board with us John Visser and Robert Chavez saddle makers!  They make a great Peter Campbell Wade for the guys and a lady wade for all you ladies! I have rode in their saddles for many a year and roped many a cow or horse from them!  Look no further for two artists that give you quality workmanship, excellent after purchase service! and a lifestyle of integrity and tradition!
